2015 Alaska high school football playoffs begin

The first championship hardware of the 2015 season will be handed-out in Alaska over the next three weekends.

The big story is whether Soldtona can win its fourth straight state title.  The Stars will play Thunder Mountain in the Medium School semis.  Soldotna has won a state record 37 straight games.  Overall, the Stars are going after their eighth overall state title.

In the Small School Division, 2014 state champ Eielson is trying to win its third state title in four years.
