It’s going to be a great season for Georgia high school football teams. The regular season kicks-off this weekend with lots of head-to-head match-ups in our Preseason Georgia Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.

BTW, if you’re thinking that our Georgia rankings have grown…you’re right. We’ve expanded them this year from a Top 10 to a Top 25.

The 27th Corky Kell Classic is loaded with ranked teams with No. 2 Colquitt County, No. 3 Rome, No. 4 Marietta, No. 5 Buford, No. 6 North Gwinnett, No. 7 Archer, No. 8 McEachern, No. 10 Walton, No. 13 Mill Creek and No. 23 Brookwood all taking part annual kickoff classic.

There are two head-to-head matchups in our Preseason 100 national rankings. On Thursday, two-time defending state champ Rome, No. 50 in the Top 100, takes on No. 57 Marietta. On Saturday, Colquitt County and McEachern will square-off with McEachern, ranked No. 85 in the Top 100. CC is ranked No. 37.

Two other games feature head-to-head Georgia 25 games — No. 5 Buford plays No. 14 Tucker on Friday and No. 10 Walton plays No. 13 Mill Creek.
