What a difference a week can make.

Two Fridays ago, Corona Centennial (2-2) lost a big lead in a one-point loss to #7 Bishop Gorman (Nevada). Friday night, the Huskies, in their third game against a nationally-ranked team this year, were able to hang-on to a lead to defeat #23 Long Beach Poly 42-34.

Corona Centennial hopped out to a 28-7 lead. The high-powered Huskies put-up 543 yards in total offense. Leading the way was J.J. Taylor who rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns that gave the Huskies a 14-0 lead.

Poly (4-1) quarterback Josh Love had a big game in trying to mount a comeback. Love was 29-of-45 for 403 yards.

The Jackrabbits suffered a big blow when star cornerback Iman Marshall was knocked out of the game with a head injury.
