27 Former Texas High School Football Players Chosen In 2018 NFL Draft

Twenty-seven former Texas high school football players heard their names called at the 2018 NFL Draft that was held in their home state at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Former Lake Travis quarterback Baker Mayfield was taken No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Browns. It was a big weekend for Alief Taylor High School, which had two players drafted.

Texas was tied with California with the second most players drafted this year. Florida led the way with 34 former players chosen.
