So how does Mater Dei‘s sophomore quarterback J.T. Daniels top his freshman season that saw him break all of Matt Barkley‘s freshman passing record?  Well, we got a peak Friday night at Daniels and his teammates opened the 2016 Southern California high school football season with a 63-14 rout of Bishop Amat.

Daniels completed 18 of 21 passes for 370 yards and six touchdowns.  Amon-Ra St. Brown caught seven balls for 137 yards and three TDs.

Mater Dei, ranked #4 in the latest High School Football America National Top 25 and #2 in our SoCal rankings, will play Mayfair next week.
