Alaska high school football season begins this weekend

After Hawaii kicked-off the 2018 regular season over the weekend, Alaska joins the high school football party this weekend with games on Friday and Saturday.

Six-time defending champ Soldotna opens the season with a 59-game win streak, which is the second longest active streak in the country. The Stars open against West High.

Defending Division I champ Bartlett will head to Hawaii to open against Baldwin on Saturday, while Division III champ Barrow plays Nikiski.
