Allen (Texas) and Corona Centennial (California) move-up in NEW Top 25 Media Poll

national top 50

For the first time in several weeks, we have movement at the top of the latest High School Football America Media Compilation poll that includes the USA TODAY Super 25MaxPreps’ Xcellent 25 and PrepNation’s National Prep Poll.  Our media poll awards points to a team on the basis of its ranking in each poll.  For example, the #1 team receives 25 points, the #2 team receives 24 points and so forth.

Allen (Texas) jumps ahead of DeMatha (Maryland) into #4 in the latest rankings.  The Eagles move-up is a direct result of MaxPreps elevating them from #10 to #6 in their poll.

The biggest mover this week is Corona Centennial (California).  The Huskies climb from #11 to a tie at #7 with St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida).  Corona Centennial moved-up in three of the four polls this week.  In our Top 25, which is created with our proprietary algorithm, Corona Centennial moved-up from #13 to #9.

St. John Bosco (California) is the biggest dropper this week.  The Braves fell from #7 to #11 after their 26-21 loss to #3 Mater Dei, which is now a unanimous #3 after MaxPreps moved them up one spot in their opinion poll.

All four polls now have Bishop Gorman (Nevada) #1, IMG Academy (Florida) #2 and Mater Dei #3.
