For the first-time ever, Canyon High School in Anaheim can call itself CIF-Southern Section football champs.  The Comanches won the CIF-SS Southern Division (XII) title Friday night with a 31-21 win over Brea Olinda.

The key in the game for Canyon, now 9-5 on the season, was two Pick 6 touchdowns — one by Christian Araiza and one by Josh Semaan.

Canyon now advances to next week’s CIF State Regionals, while Brea Olinda finishes with an 8-6 record.
