Another week with plenty of shifting at the top of the Top 100

top 100

For the second straight week, two Top 10 teams in the High School Football America Top 100 tasted defeat.  Former No. 5 St. Xavier (Ohio) was beaten by No. 38 St. Ignatius (Ohio) and No. 8 Miami Central lost to former No. 38 Northwestern in South Florida.

Northwestern jumps 27 spots with the 21-7 win to No. 11 in the latest rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm, while Central falls to No. 12.

St. Ignatius, which dropped from No. 9 to No. 38 last week after losing to Archbishop Moeller (Ohio), rebounds to No. 25 after beating St. X 28-14 in a rematch of the 2016 Ohio Division I state championship game won by St. X in double-overtime.  St. Xavier falls from No. 5 to No. 26 in the new ranking.

Next-up for St. Igantius is arch-rival No. 18 St. Edward (Ohio).
