Arkansas’ Salt Bowl to be played during Week 0

Officials of the Salt Bowl, which matches Benton against Bryant, have announced that this year’s game will be played Saturday, August 25 during Week 0 of the 2018 season.  The game will be played at War Memorial Stadium.

The rivalry between Benton and Bryant began in 1974, but the Salt Bowl wasn’t born until 2000.  Last season, Bryant beat its arch-rival 49-42 before over 32,000 fans.  Bryant finished 2017 ranked No. 5 in the High School Football America Arkansas Top 10.
