With fall camp just around the corner, Bellflower High School will have to go into overdrive to find a new head coach.  Derek Brown stepped down Tuesday, according to the Long Beach Press Telegram.

In 11 years, Brown led the Buccaneers to a 59-58 record.

Brown told Chris Trevino of the Press Telegram — “I’ve been there for 11 years and it was a great opportunity. I couldn’t be happier with my time there … the administration was nothing but supportive.”

Last year, Bellflower finished 7-3.
