Darien wins third straight Connecticut LL state title

Darien got its three-peat Saturday beating Greenwich 31-22 in the Connecticut Class LL state championship game. Quarterback Jack Joyce threw for two touchdowns, plus rushed for 113 yards in the win.

Darien, which entered the game ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Connecticut Top 10, finishes 12-1 this season, while Greenwich, ranked No. 3 in our latest statewide rankings, also finishes 12-1.
