The 2014 season opened with some big number being put-up in the eastern part of the state.

According to EasternPAFootball.com, the top rushers were Eastern York‘s David Livelsberger and Montoursville‘s Keith Batkowski, who both rushed for 275 yards in their respective games this weekend.

Batkowski’s three touchdown performance led his team to a 38-36 win over South Williamsport, the #4 ranked school in EasternPAFootball.com’s Small School Top 10.

In the passing department, Waynesboro‘s Conner Fetterhoff threw for 388 yards and five TDs in 53-7 win over Kennard-Dale.  Fetterhoff’s favorite receiver was Matt Peck, who led the eastern part of the state with 255 yards receiving.  Peck caught all five of Fetteroff’s touchdown passes. Fetterhoff also rushed for a score.

Last year, Waynesboro was 0-10.  This year the program is led by Brennan Marion, who took over as the head coach at the beginning of the year. You can listen to Coach Marion on High School Football America’s radio show below.
