It’s been a tumultuous offseason for Edgewood Academy, and now it’s spilled into the 2016 season.  Head coach Bobby Carr, who led the school to six straight Alabama Independent School Association state titles, left this spring and Friday night, Morgan Academy snapped Edgewood’s 71-game win streak with a 46-0 shutout.  The streak was the longest active streak in America.

Carr resigned from Edgewood to become the offensive coordinator at Autauga Academy.

Valley Catholic in Missouri now owns the longest active win streak at 46 straight victories.
