Eielson wins Alaska Small School Championship

Eielson High School football logoFor the second time in three years, Eielson Alaska’s Small School state champ.  Saturday, the Ravens beat Nikiski 55-51.

Eielson capped a perfect 9-0 season behind running back Anthony Griffith, who rushed for 277 yards and three touchdowns.  Griffith had incredible season, which included a state record single game record of 516 yards during the Ravens regular season win over Nikiski on September 6th.  For the season, the senior rushed for 2,268 yards and 32 touchdowns.

Nikiski, which won Small School titles in 2011 and 2013, finishes 8-2 with both losses coming against Eielson.
