Georgia’s Trent Thompson named Maxwell Football Club’s National HS Player of the Year

The honors keep rolling-in for Westover High School‘s Trent Thompson, who Wednesday was named as the Maxwell Football Club‘s National Player of the Year.

Thompson, who is 6-4, 305 pounds, was named as USA Today’s Defensive Player of the Year in December.  He’s also been named to just about every possible high school All-American team.  Last season, despite being double-and-triple teamed recorded 84 tackles.

Thompson has given his verbal commitment to the University of Georgia.
