Gunter wins Texas 7 on 7 Division III championship

Gunter, which finished runner-up in Class 3A Division II last season, needed overtime to capture the inaugural Texas 7 on 7 Division III championship on Friday. The Tigers captured the title with a 34-27 win over Palmer.

Gunter scored in the first possession of overtime when Ethan Everson connected with Clayton Reed. The Tiger defense then came up with a goal line stop for the win.
