Hand beats Masuk for Connecticut Class L title

Hand captured the school’s 12th overall Connecticut high school football state championship Monday night.  The Tigers beat Masuk 35-21, which capped a 12-1 season that comes after a 2-8 record in 2016.

Hand entered the game ranked No. 5 in the High School Football America Connecticut Top 10, while Masuk was ranked No. 4.

Masuk finishes 2017 with an 11-2 record.
