The top of the stack in High School Football America/SoCal’s Top 20 remained solid with five of the top 6 coming away with victories in Week 2 – Mater Dei was idle. All six hold their spots with top dog St. John Bosco also holding on to the #6 spot in our national rankings. #2 Mater Dei climbed in the HSFA Top 25 from #17 to #15, while Long Beach Poly cracks the national poll at #23.
Poly’s national ranking will be tested when the Jackrabbits travel to #8 Corona Centennial Friday to take on the 1-2 Huskies, whose only loses are to nationally-ranked Bishop Gorman (Nevada) and Mater Dei.
Another Top 20 match-up this week will be in Orange County where #14 JSerra hosts #16 St. Bonaventure. Also on Friday night, #5 Servite hosts #17 Edison.
