High School Football opens in Alaska led by Soldotna’s 49-game win streak

The 2017 Alaska high school football season kicks-off Friday night with five-time Medium School state champ Soldotna opening against 2016 Big School runner-up West.  The Stars bring a state record 49 game win streak into the contest.

One change this season is the classifications are no longer Big, Medium and Small. Instead, the Big School is Division I, Medium School is Division II and Small School is Division III.
