One year after leading the Georgia Bulldogs to a 10-3 record and a win over Louisville in the Belk Bowl, Hutson Mason has become to the quarterbacks coach at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia.

Colquitt County, which finished #4 in the final High School Football America Top 25 last season after winning Georgia’s AAAAAA title, will be led this season by senior quarterback Chase Parrish, who threw for 2,385 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior.  With the return of Parrish, the Packers are a contender for our Preseason Top 25 that will be released on August 1st.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Mason is still hoping for a call from the NFL.  In the spring, Mason had a tryout with the Washington Redskins.  Last season Mason threw for over 2,100 yards and 21 touchdowns for Georgia.

Mason played his high school ball at Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia.
