Student Reporters

High School Sports America LLC, an Atlanta-based multi-media sports company is seeking Student Reporters across America who want to gain valuable experience while reporting on their high school’s football team.

If you are chosen as a High School Football America Student Reporter, you will get real life experience working as a sports journalist providing content to our website.

Student reporters will be required to submit a weekly written feature one of their school’s student-athletes, plus file game story reports that will appear on our website.  Student Reporters will receive professional critiques on their submissions. Once the submission is edited and approved by our editors, the Student Reporters’ story will appear on our website with the Student Reporter receiving a byline.

Below are requirements to be considered for a Student Reporter position.

Requirements:

To be considered for a Student Reporter position, a student must have maintained a cumulative GPA above 3.0 for the previous school year. Each student must submit a cover letter that outlines why he or she would like to be a Student Reporter. The cover letter should outline a student’s academic life, as well as extra-curricular activities and community service. In addition, the cover letter should address future goals in the field of journalism. Applicants must submit a Letter of Recommendation from a teacher at the school.
