At least for the 2015 season, Summerville High School has decided to keep the reigns of the program in the hands of the McKissick family.  News 2 in Charleston is reporting that John McKissick’s grandson Joe Call has been named interim head coach replacing his grandfather, who resigned earlier this month after 63 years and 621 wins at the helm of the program.

Call has been with the football program since 2003.  He took over as offensive coordinator in 2007.  Call, who is 36 years old, played quarterback for his grandfather.

News 2’s story states that the school district will advertise for a full-time head coach for the 2016 season.

McKissick is America’s all-time winningest football coach.
