8-man high school football may be coming to Indiana for the 2021 season. The Indiana Football Coaches Association has proposed an 8-man division, in addition to the state’s current six classifications.
According to the IndyStar, 8-man would be for schools of less than 300 total students that are currently not playing 11-man football.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association executive committee is expected to vote on the plan in late August.
