Internships

Radio Broadcasting/Multi-Media Production College Internships

High School Football America (“HFSA”) offers an internship program that will provide students an opportunity to combine their hard-earned book knowledge with some real world experience through our multi-media company covering high school sports across America. Our hands-on program is specifically designed to make use of the talent and motivation in every intern–which, of course, is one of the best ways for a student to get started in the biz and for us to spot a possible future employee. We offer a multitude of exciting opportunities for our interns, from digital audio and digital video production to social media to behind-the-scenes and everything in between.

Duties include assisting in research & production of our weekly radio show High School Football America, writing news stories for the our website, updating database of contacts, organizing tapes & files, coordinating guest interviews, working on our website and social media and assisting on-air talent in field with various projects. Familiarity with radio and television newsroom lingo is a plus but we can teach you!

The internship is unpaid and college credit “must” be earned. Students enrolled in a degree program in radio, television, general communications, marketing / public relations or business related field preferred. Ideally, each intern should be available three days per week (Wednesday – Saturday) totaling 20 hours per week.  There is some flexibility based on the student’s schedule and the number of hours required by the school to receive credit.  All interns are required to sign an HSFA Intern Agreement outlining duties with a confidentiality clause.

You do not have to be based in Los Angeles to qualify for the internship, but you must have access to a computer.
