The University Interscholastic League has officially announced that Houston’s NRG Stadium will be the home of the 2015 Texas high school football championships December 17th through the 19th.

The home of the Houston Texans replaces AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.  The games needed to be moved from North Texas after a scheduling conflict between Saturday’s championship games and the NFL game between the Cowboys and New York Jets.

Last year’s championship games at AT&T drew 260,654 fans, which was an increase of over 11 percent from 2013.
