Lakeridge hires Elvis Akpla as new head coach

Lakeridge Pacers footballElvis Akpla is the new head coach at Lakeridge.

According to the Portland Tribune, Akpla has served as the program’s freshman head coach for a couple of years and listed Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly as a reference on his application.  Akpla was on the University of Oregon team for two years before transferring to play at Montana State.
