Lordsburg senior quarterback Johnny Plowman tossed two touchdown passes and ran for a third as the Mavericks beat previously undefeated Fort Sumner/House 34-26 in the New Mexico 2A state championship game.

Lordsburg finishes the season 8-2, after dropping-down from 3A last year.  Fort Sumner finishes 11-1.
