North Bergen High School officials have decided that the fight to win back its stripped 2011 New Jersey Sectional football championship is over.

On Monday, the New Jersey Supreme Court denied the school’s request to hear its appeal of a 2012 decision by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association to strip North Bergen of its title because of recruiting violations.  After the N.J. high court turned-down the school’s request, officials indicated they intended to take their first to the U.S. Supreme Court.  On Thursday, school officials said they wouldn’t not take the fight to Washington D.C.
