No. 25 Brentwood Academy (Tennessee) sees its 24-game win streak snapped

Brentwood Academy’s time in our national Top 25 was short-lived. The Eagles, who ascended to No. 25 last Sunday in our High School Football America 100, were upset by McCallie 31-27 Friday night that snapped the three-time defending state champs 24-game win streak.

It looked like BA had this Division II-AAA East/Middle Region matchup wrapped-up with under five minutes to play. McCallie was down 27-24 when Dane Beard intercepted Wade Williams with 2:58 remaining for a 32-yard Pick-6.

McCallie, who also snapped a 13-game losing streak against the Eagles, are now 7-1. Both teams are 3-1 in the region.
