Northwestern, ranked No. 37 in the High School Football America Top 100 used a punishing defense Friday night to defeat No. 8 Miami Central 21-7. The win gives the Bulls District 16-6A title for the second straight year. For those of you not familiar with South Florida high school football, District 16 is one of the best in the nation.

Friday night, the Bull defense forced three Central (7-2) turnovers and came-up with five sacks. While the defense was stuffing Central, Northwestern quarterback Tutu Atwell, who is a Louisville-commit, tossed two touchdown passes, plus had a 52-yard TD run. Miami Central never got on the board until late in the game.
