Rutland beats 2X Vermont champ Middlebury to win D-I title

For the first time since 2006, Rutland raised a Vermont high school football championship trophy.

Rutland beat two-time defending Division I champ Middlebury 35-7 on Saturday to capture the school’s eight title under head coach Mike Norman.  The loss snapped Middlebury’s 32-game win streak.
