Plenty of movement in the latest High School Football America Southern California Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm, but the top three remain in lock-step.

No. 1 Mater Dei solidified its grip on the top spot with an impressive 35-21 win over Bishop Gorman (Nevada) Friday night.  The win over the Gaels, who were ranked No. 2 in the nation, snapped Gorman’s 55 game win streak.

Long Beach Poly’s 14-10 win over former No. 4 Narbonne moves the Jackrabbits up one this week to No. 5.  This is Poly’s bye week, which will be followed with a showdown against No. 4 Mission Viejo on September 15.

Chaminade continues to inch-up the rankings after an impressive win over nationally-ranked Mountain Pointe from Arizona.  The Eagles are No. 6 this week and No. 46 in the nation. Both rankings will be test against No. 2 St. John Bosco, which is ranked No. 8 in the nation.
