Soldtona No. 1 in first High School Football America Alaska Top 5

With its 50-and-counting win streak, the Soldotna Stars begin 2017 where they left off in 2016 — atop the High School Football America Alaska Top 5 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.  The five-time champs opened the season Friday night with a 21-0 shutout of West.

Falling-in behind Soldotna in our first in-season ranking is Bartlett at No. 2, followed by West at No. 3, Chugiak at No. 4 and Colony at No. 5.

This coming Friday, it will be No. 2 vs. No. 5 as Bartlett travels to Colony.
