Thornton Academy won the Maine Class A title with a 24-14 win over Portland at Fitzpatrick Stadium. Thornton Academy took a 14-0 lead into the third quarter, but saw it disappear in the third quarter. However, the Trojans scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth to capture the win.
