Defending 6A state champ Trinity, which opened with an impressive 31-3 over nationally-ranked Carmel (Indiana) Friday night, begins 2017 as the top team in the High School Football America Kentucky Top 10.  The win vaulted Trinity from No. 52 to No. 31 in the latest High School Football America National Top 10. Carmel entered the game ranked No. 17 in the nation.

The Shamrocks will put their national ranking on the line this weekend when they play Warren Central (Indiana), ranked No. 17 in the latest rankings.

A big in-state game this week will be the match-up between No. 5 Lafayette and No. 7 Scott County.
