Turkey Day: Easton (PA) beats Phillipsburg (NJ) in 110th meeting

Easton (Pennsylvania) battled back from a 14-3 deficit to beat Phillipsburg 24-14 in the 110th renewal of their rivalry better known as the Battle for the Forks of the Delaware that is played Turkey Day morning at Fisher Stadium at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Leading the way was game’s offensive MVP Ben Nimeh, who starred on both sides of the ball for Easton at quarterback and linebacker.  Nimeh threw for 169 yards and a touchdown, plus he rushed for 36 with one TD.  He also had nine tackles and one-and-a-half sacks.

Phillipsburg was led by quarterback Danny Fisher, who carried the ball 30 times for 86 yards and one touchdown.

The Easton defense limited Phillipsburg to 141 yards in total offense.

Easton now leads the all-time series 63-42-5.  The Red Rovers finish 2016 with a 7-6 overall record, while Phillipsburg finishes 5-5.
