With no changes in the latest High School Football America Virginia High School Football Top 10, we’re set for our first big showdown of the year as top-ranked Highland Springs takes on No. 2 Manchester.
Two reigning state champs, the two longest active winning streaks in VA, both on the same field Friday night. Buckle up, high school football fans. Our Game of the Week between Highland Springs and Manchester could be quite a ride. @NBC12 @gohshsfootball @lancer_footbal pic.twitter.com/M7HeBvWjnb

The Springers, who are also ranked No. 71 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, are the four-time defending 5A state champs. Manchester is the defending 6A state champs.
.@gohshsfootball and @lancer_footbal are trying to approach this week like any other. Both head coaches, however, know that Friday's atmosphere will be anything but typical. @NBC12 pic.twitter.com/m09Iy8owuq
