Webb City wins 5th straight Missouri state title

Webb City High School football Webb City defeated Central (Cape Girardeau) 48-21 Saturday to win the school’s fifth straight Class 4 state title.  The Cardinals finish a perfect 15-0, which gives the school its 13th overall state crown.

Central got out to a 14-0 first quarter lead before Webb City behind quarterback Tyson Roderique kicked things into high-gear, leading the Cardinals to 27 points in the second quarter.  Roderique, who is the son of head coach John Roderique, rushed for 91 yards.
