The Road to Arlington begins this week as the 2016 Texas high school football playoffs begin. The University Interscholastic League has announced the first round playoff match-ups.
Allen, ranked #5 in the latest High School Football America National Top 50, will open the Class 6A Division I playoffs against Euless Trinity. Also in 6A Division I is #19 Lake Travis. The Cavaliers will open against San Antonio Madison.
In Class 6A Division II, #21 DeSoto will open against Killeen, while #23 Cibolo Steele squares-off with San Antonio Brandeis.
