After two rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia, California is leading the way with nine high school football alums being drafted through the first 64 picks.  California and Florida, which didn’t have a first round pick for the first time since 2009, according to FloridaHSFootball, had five players each selected in the second round.

Heading into the third round, Georgia, Ohio and Texas each had six former high school players drafted, followed by Alabama and Florida with five each. New Jersey has had four former high schoolers chosen.
