Look for 2018 to be another solid year from teams from around the state when it comes to our national rankings. Last year, 6A state champion Pine-Richland finished No. 10 in the High School Football America 100, followed by St. Joseph’s Prep at No. 19, Archbishop Wood at No. 20 and Erie Cathedral Prep at No. 22. Once again this year, those teams will play top-notch schedules that will put them into the mix when we release our Preseason 100 on July 1.
In the past, Imhotep Charter’s schedule has been hurt the Panthers in our national rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm. But, 2018 is a different story with big non-league match-ups against La Salle College High School, DeMatha (Maryland) and St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey) that should propel the Panthers into the HSFA Preseason 100.
