For the second time in four years, Bellevue West is Nebraska’s Class A state champs. The Thunderbirds shutout Omaha Westside 35-0 to finish a perfect 13-0 in 2019.

Bellevue entered the game ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Nebraska Top 5.

Class A game states

No. 3 Skutt Catholic captured its second straight Class B title with a 21-20 win over No. 4 Scottsbluff. The Skyhawks needed to stop a late 2-point try by Scottsbluff to win the school’s fourth state title in the last seven years.

Skutt will bring a 26-game win streak into the 2020 season.
