O’Gorman, ranked No. 3 in our South Dakota Top 5, beat No. 2 Brandon Valley 21-16 to capture the school’s first-ever Class 11AAA state championship. It’s the Knights first state championship since back-to-back titles in 2004 and 2005.
High School Football America South Dakota Top 5 No. 1 T.F. Riggs finishes a perfect 12-0 by beating Brookings 32-16 in the 11AA state championship game. It’s the Governors third straight state title.
In the 11A championship game, Kayden Verley ran for an 11-man championship record 309 yards on 31 carries as Canton beat Lennox 46-8.
Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan beat Winner 21-14 for the 11B title.
