2020 Hawaii high school football regular season won’t start on time

Hawaii is the eighth state to officially push back the start of the 2020 high school football regular season. The latest from the Hawaii High School Athletic Association has announced that Fall practice will begin August 19, at the earliest.

The past couple of year’s Hawaii first regular season games were played on August 2 and 3.

Here are the other states that have delayed the beginning of the regular season as of July 13:

Arizona – September 11

New Jersey – October 2

New Mexico – Season moved to Spring

Tennessee – PPD start of regular season, but no date yet

Vermont – PPD start of regular season, but no date yet

Washington – September 18

West Virginia – September 3
