2023 Big 33 Pennsylvania Roster announced

4A Pennsylvania state champ Bishop McDevitt will be well-represented in the 2023 PSFCA Big 33 Football Classic that will be played May 28 at McDevitt’s Rocco Ortenzio Stadium. Representing the Crusaders on their home turf will be offensive lineman Gabe Arena, defensive tackle Riley Robell and wide receiver Tyshawn Russell.

The entire 38-man roster was announced Friday.

Others schools with more than one player on the team are: Gateway, Harrisburg, Imhotep Charter, 5A champ Pine-Richland and State College.

This year’s Pennsylvania team will be led by Schuylkill Haven head coach Mike Farr. His assistants are Kevin Conlin (Abington), Chris Dworek (St. Marys), Colin Gillen (Cedar Cliff), Tim McGorry (Allentown Central Catholic), Randy Spencer (Wyoming Area), Kevin Steele (Bedford) and Wayne Wade (Clairton).

Pennsylvania will play Maryland in the 66th annual Big 33 game. Pennsylvania will enter the game with a three game win streak against its southern neighbor.

Maryland’s roster will be announced at a later date.
