A perfect 16-0 season has led to Northwestern Lehigh’s Josh Snyder being named the Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 3A Coach of the Year. Snyder, an alum of the school, has been the program’s head coach since 2012.
Northwestern Lehigh won its first-ever high school football championship when Eli Zimmerman scored in overtime to put the finishing touches on a 36-33 win over Avonworth in the championship game. Zimmerman, who ran for 2,665 yards and scores 27 rushing touchdowns, is the state’s 3A Player of the Year.
Zimmerman is one of five Tigers on the 3A All-State team.
