Mater Dei High SchoolMater Dei (California) road a strong first half defensive effort on the way to its second straight victory Friday night. The Monarchs beat Villa Park (California) 63-0 after rolling to a 56-0 halftime lead.

Mater Dei, which recorded six interceptions on the night, returned three interceptions for touchdowns with Ronald Nickerson going 15 yards for one and Jaren Cole returning two (49 & 96 yards) for Pick 6’s in the first 24 minutes.  The six picks were one shy of a school record for most INT’s in a game, according to OC Varsity.
