Kevin Mawae is taking over for former NFL QB Trent Dilfer, who left to take the head coaching job at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dilfer led the Mustangs to back-to-back Division II-AA titles.
After finishing No. 13 in the nation last year, LA starts No. 23 in the HSFA 300 preseason national rankings.
