Mater Dei topped sixty points for the fourth time this season with a 62-14 rout of Santa Margarita in the Trinity League opener for both teams on Friday.  Once again, sophomore quarterback J.T. Daniels was outstanding for the Monarchs, ranked #3 in the High School Football America Top 25.

Daniels tossed seven touchdowns in the first half to four different receivers.  Daniels, who entered the game completing 80-percent of his throws, was 17-for-21 in the first half for 303 yards.  Daniels now has 35 touchdown passes this year.

Next-up for Mater Dei is Orange Lutheran, currently ranked #13 in our SoCal Top 25.
